you already talking like a fukking loser. Imagine producing a child and having to ask for permission to be a fukking parent
Well not all relationships work out. No need to force a relationship for the sake of seeing your kid when you can get a lawyer and get your legal rights to parent. When a child is born neither parent has custody. A custodial arrangement is made when one party motions for visitation or custodial arrangements..

I’m telling you.

The average divorced woman ends up broke as shyt unless she has a career and can support herself and her child/children.
Child support ain’t even anything to brag about unless you had a child with a man making some real serious money.

Now I won’t lie, the men in my fam do make 100k+ so when some of them got divorced, :sadcam:
But that was mainly child support, not alimony because their exes have great careers as well.
I told my Wife, “we roommates until you finish law school and start practicing.”
No way I’m droppin 4k plus a month and expect to move out and pay these Atlanta prices for a two bedroom.
:picard:
If I feel like smashing something strange, we doing it at her house or the red roof.
:pachaha:

I can imagine after divorce we may not want to have sex anymore. It may not be the case but who knows. If we are no longer having sex, a man has his needs
:yeshrug:
Luckily, we are in this for life so this hypothetical scenario should never happen.
:blessed:

this doesn't make a lick of sense if you are a good parent. you aren't taking the other parent out of your child's life just to save a few hundred dollars a month.... wtf :mjlol:
You’re a bit…let me be nice lol. I’m trying to break the law down in layman’s terms and you still don’t understand. I hope whoever is with you has a prenup :deadrose:.

The idea behind alimony - not child support - but alimony for the primary parent considers many things and one of them is the child being able to have the same lifestyle living with the primary parent as they would have with you. In other words, child support goes to expenses for the kid, etc. But the alimony is so that one parent isn’t in a big ass house and the other is in some sort of apartment, which would make the kid look at them differently. Thus, when dealing with people of means, if someone is trying to maximize what you will pay to them - they will seek primary custody. I’ve spent a lot of time around family courts.

A perfect example of this is what Jimmy Butler is dealing with - he’s already paying like 50k a month and shortie is asking for more. She had no real career before he knocked her up twice and has no intention of ever working a real job or doing anything. She’s already living in his Miami mansion. You missed where I said “of means” - it was established pretty early in this thread by @Gloxina and I didn’t feel like rehashing that most people don’t have the means to have significant alimony payments. I don’t even know what you’re talking about tbh.
