Sorry, this question made the assumption that everyone was into analytics here.

I know it's a foreign concept to many but the analytics say you should go for 2 down 14 late in games because it's one less possession to take the lead. It allows you to increase your win probability.

Also the expected value of a 2 point conversion (2 yards) is greater than a 33 yard XP. Theoretically you should always go for 2 since they pushed the XP back.
