Officers from the the sheriff's department evicted rapper Chief Keef this morning from the Highland Park home that he had been renting. Keef, whose real name is Keith Cozart, had been renting the 5,625 square foot pad and fallen behind on rent by$30,000according to the Tribune. Keef began falling behind on rent in February and according to an agreement, had until April 20 to pay the owed amount. Previously, the rapper had been renting a 5,200 square foot home in Northbrook, but after leaving for rehab last November, the landlord decided toput the home up for sale. The five bedroomHighland Park home was built in 2005 on a nearly-one-acre lot in a suburban cul-de-sac, and features seven bathrooms, vaulted ceilings, brick patio and a four car garage. For Keef, who has taken a liking to suburban McMansions, it's on to the next one.

It's not about anything other than this man not having any sort of respect for his property or the people around it to me. I can imagine he was driving ATVs all around his background, having loud parties to the wee hours of the night/morning, the smell of loud lingering from miles away...no person who lives in that type of neighborhood wants that.

Shyt, my parents live in one of those neighborhoods...it's bad enough the white people there don't want black folk there even if they don't display any disrespectful qualities (when my family first moved there in 1993...a couple of our neighbors at the time moved out in the first couple of months, I guess they figured more black people would move in the neighborhood and eventually "bring property values down"...a term used amongst other things to hide their racist sentiments towards black people with money as if those neighborhoods are only entitled to people like them), but doing this upon that will only lead to an eviction notice.

Do these kids have any PR people on their side? I'm suspicious of why Iovine even signed him in the first place without even giving him those resources to his disposal to my knowledge.
