Breh i grew in a neighborhood just as bad or if not worst than where these dudes are, brownsville brooklyn, which is the poorest hood in the city so i know what i'm talking about. most of these dudes out there aren't shooting up the place over money and even those that do and sell drugs hardly even contribute to the household, this shyt is all about bravado wanting to be hard and respected. most of these cats out there hustling is doing it to buy some gear, push a second hand car around the hood, buy weed and liquor and while they're doing that mom is out there working to pay the rent, buy food, and maintain the household. let's stop this nonsense that these kids are out there committing crimes to put food on the table. and if anything foods stamps and welfare is one of the core part of the current problem. welfare and food stamps gave people who had no business having kids when they had them the incentive to go ahead have them, and you advocating this shyt the welfare system was one of the worst things to happened to black people in modern america, this shyt needs to be cut.

and what i'm saying is that it has nothing to do with the problem so cutting it would not have an effect. they've been cutting public assistance all across the country since the late 90's and crime as only been going down (not saying there's any correlation) cutting it all together might cause a small spike but in the long run no. look at it this way, and i'm speaking from my observation from living in a poor hood, if welfare is cut all together then it would put a burden on the kids also in these single mother households to generate income, some would turn to crime but they'll quickly figure out that one that shyt is not going to generate enough income to maintain the household and they'll also realize that as a bread winner you don't want to take the chance of getting locked up, shot, etc. people with real responsibilities ain't got know time for the fukkery. I grew up around a lot of hustling and stickup kids and none of them was responsible for taking care of parents or siblings most of them dudes don't didn't even take care of their kids.

i've seen a lot of situations where dudes got kicked out there house who use to do little hustling and knuckle head shyt and unless them dudes found some chick to lay up with to be a second mother most of them dudes came to the realization that street bullshyt ain't leading nowhere or paying bills and went and got a job. In nyc they cut off section 8 and since then abortions among poor black women shot up cause all them hoodrats realized that they ain't getting a rent free apartment anymore just for popping out a baby avoiding introducing kids into fukked up households. welfare only gives people enough to be a little comfortable but at the same time kills any motivation to strive and succeed. people response to economics more than anything else.
