Black people are being removed from Chicago. its painfully obvious at this point. A concerted effort to remove large bases of Black people from urban centers where they wield considerable economic and political might.
In a city where Black people had to literally FIGHT for their survival (Google Chicago Race Riots) when they arrived with nothing but the clothes on their backs from the clay dirt of the South.

But have no fear Brandon Johnson is here...oh wait. :skip:

Yet, homeless people on the street.

Democrats are so fukking stupid on this issue. It's maddening because we have fukking fascists trying to get in, right now and this is the type of shyt that will make people of all stripes either sit out or change their vote. No one is asking for this except businesses who want an easily exploitable class of workers and maybe this is the reason democrats are acting the way they do.

It's like the house is on fire and these people are dikking around at best or pouring gasoline on the fire at worst. shyt is terrible.

Democrats, independents, and republicans are not liking this shyt mostly. A poll was conducted in NYC about their migrant issue and 80% of the total people polled said it's an issue which means everyone wants this shyt handled. There is literally no political upside to this shyt yet they keep fukking this chicken. shyt is so stupid.

We are about to have an authoritarian government that WILL do something about this issue and more and not in a way that is good because the alternative is a complete abdication of control of this issue. Chaos and disorder is not good for a stable country and once someone comes along and says they are going to address it, by any means necessary, watch out...

Deport and Crack down. Now. Otherwise, we all going to feel real pain.

Same shyt in NYC

A lot of people were thinking Adams and a supermajority Dem City Council would be a good thing.

Adams is a dumbass DINO Republican who isn't a serious person and the City Council is filled with candidates that sound good on paper (Black, Women, LGBTQ, etc.) but really most of them are just identity politics candidates that, under greater examination, are mostly using their City Council tenure as a stepping stone to higher office or as a direct pipeline for corporate interests masked by greenwashing and other bullshyt "progressive" schemes.

I think what he's trying to say is that this is who this man has always been, and that there were people who with a keen eye, saw past his bullshyt and realized that he would always do what was in his best interest and the best interests of those who could enrich him either politically or financially.

For example...we can tell the resident Coli Hype Liberal brigade that their indulgence of the YIMBY (Pssttt real estate industry astroturfing) movement is really just going to result in the destruction of previously majority Black neighborhoods in NYC (and beyond) and the further marginalization of Black people but they just won't hear it.

And that's just one wave in the ocean of stupidity that is the current "progressive" movement in the United States.

And when you criticize them guess what? They call you a Trumper or MAGA or conservative or some other dumbass shyt that is literally right out of the Republican playbook of demonizing the other side in order to validate your own bullshyt that falls apart under scrutiny.

NGL, after hearing Johnson's platform and his ideas and so far his responses on some of the things going on in the city related to migrants and crime during the campaign... I was a lil shocked he won.

:hubie:
Chicago Democratic machine is a fine tuned instrument.

Atleast it gave us Mr.Obama for whatever thats worth :francis:

Yeah... but after how Lori's run was, I thought residents would fall back on another "progressive" candidate back to back.

My take?

The American people are absolutely ok with social safety nets, affordable housing, public safety, etc.

But not at the expense of their own hard earned income, the destruction of their often hard fought for communities (Black people and yes even immigrants of other backgrounds), or their own personal freedoms and privacy.

So the polls and numbers sound good...that the country is becoming more "liberal" or that young people are more "liberal" but really all it's telling me is the above stated points are desired but aren't really being demonstrated visibly by the people in charge.

People out here getting carjacked in broad daylight now.

You losing half your paycheck before you get it and you're looking around like...WTF?

And then you gotta pay bills

And a post Covid world has simply exacerbated this.

Honestly Brandon Johnson has talked openly about his plans for migrants. From jobs to housing to school board seats. He’s all in :yeshrug:
