When they say “there’s been 256 mass shootings so far this year” do you think there’s been 256 parkland or Vegas concert style mass shootings? Not concerned with what your pedantic take on the term’s meaning is. “Mass shooting” has a very specific place within the lexicon of modern society. To apply the term to the violence in our inner cities is to engage in a common form of gaslighting that cacs use to excuse the violence they commit and demonize black people.
