more police presence doesn't mean more crimes solved
especially when they don't GAF about solving them.
i said surveillance. cameras. inner city chicago is most likely one of the most heavily surveilled areas in the country. i'd bet good money it is. just doesn't make any sense that we have all these people getting shot every weekend "in Chicago" but we very rarely hear about any arrests. there are stories where the authorities have tracked people for miles and miles from the scene of a crime using camera relays.
