13-Year-Old GDK Rapper Lil John Transfers To Suburban Chicago School Amid Death Threats
Making a diss song against a notorious rival street gang was not the smartest move for 13-year-old rapper Lil John.
Lil John, a rapper who aligns himself with the Black Discples street gang, sparked controversy after making a diss song disparaging the Gangster Disciples.
Coming off the heels of Lil JoJos 3HunnaK, Lil John had aspirations of coming back with a song of the same magnitude.
But unlike 3HunnaK, which takes aim at the BDs, Lil John wrote GDK, a song dissing the rival GDs.
He and friends shot a music video for the song and mocked Lil JoJos death while waving a small handgun.
Lil Johns actions didnt come without repercussions.
Chicago Police Officers on the Gang School Safety Team received word that the GDs were planning to murder Lil John and associates in the video, according to the Chicago Tribune.
Gang members even waited outside the young mans school to get hold of him.
Lil Johns grandmother was notified about the threats and he was subsequently transferred to a South Side Chicago suburban school before the GDs could make good on their word.
Lil JoJo, too, received death threats for his music video.
But unlike Lil John, he wasnt so lucky.
