:comeon:Depression is a state of mind, not a sickness. Dude took the cowards way out. Could have used some of his millions for treatment, but decided to leave his kids fatherless. That's a selfish and cowardly act imho.

Nah, I felt this way til it got too close to home, it's just not that simple. One of the people I love most on this planet tried to end it, and the dozens of conversations I've had about it since... All they say is that they felt like it was the only way to escape what was tormenting them. Meds have dealt with it for now, but those are definitely numbing in a whole different way. In the end, I'd rather her be alive so you adjust to what the meds do to their personality, but I can see why people go off of them eventually too. It's just sad, and got me in my feels. She's actually the first person I told cause we spent sooo much time playing those albums back 15 years ago.

So you don't think it's possible for someone's mind to be sick??
He planned this shyt. He sang at Chris Cornell's funeral and kills himself on Chris' birthday. He was obviously copying Chris to try and make himself some kind of legend.

Sad to see a man so messed up that he felt he had to leave behind a wife and six kids. On Chris Cornell's birthday, too. :merchant:Chester wrote an open letter to Cornell on the day he died.

One of the best singers of his era. The first LP album is a classic of its time and genre. Couldn't get into them after that, but the EP Chester did a few years back with Stone Temple Pilots is excellent.
:wow:

Linkin Park is one of the biggest rock bands of all time. He was already a legend. He didn't need to do this. The man had a lot of demons. Seeing his beat friend die obviously sent him over the edge.

Stop all the foolish garbage posting you're doing. Always gotta be 1 person in every rip thread

So what that got to do with the question I asked you?

You don't think it's possible for anybody to have a sick mind?

I have a nostalgic, somewhat guilty pleasure relationship with the Jay/Linkin Park "Numb", I used to be up at the trap apartment at 3:00 AM, drinking Hennessey out the fifth smoking blunts, hitting a line, and I'd swear this video would come on over and over in the early morning hours, where it all got blurry, staring at the TV. And a few months later, a girl I was involved with was obsessed with this song, I think was her ringtone (yeah this was 2005) and it used seem to be always playing as we drank and were with each other. Not to mention all the cocaine parallels.

It's no surprise given our alcohol and drug addiction that we felt something, given the artists struggle. I don't listen to the music much, except to relive those days every once in awhile.

And, given I'm 31, I vividly remember their debut, and how their first singles were everywhere during 2001.

That was him on the Young Buck song? I always thought it was a one and done R&B singer from the Ville. No idea what his name was. How did that happen? Interscope, I guess at the time.

He talked about suicide before. He has family that could have helped get him into a mental facility that helps people with depression. Act like America don't have places like that for rich celebrities breh.

depression, especially manic depression is just as easy as just getting help and things will be ok. it doesn't just go away, meds just help make life a little bit more bearable. idk if he was manically depressed, but manic depression is a whole lot harder to deal with than just depression.

plus there's so many awful side affects of meds and the whole process of trial and error. sometimes it can't take a year + trying oit different meds to find one that works for you.

i'm 28 and been dealing with manic depression since i was 14 years old. i've been to hospitals, on meds, seen therapists for months and stabilized to then convincing myself it's ok to stop all that, people with manic depression are notorious for stopping it.

and i'm sure his family and close ones tried helping him but a lot of times family can be naive, as well. my das doesn't even believe in mentall illness, my mom does but she thinks it's just a phase and laying in bed for a day will cure it.

it's a lot of trickier than you're making it out to be
