Anyway this is usually how I like to play:

WHITE
- 9/10 times I'll open with the queen's pawn to d4 (rarely play king pawn openings or other)
- if they counter with queen's pawn to d5, i'll offer to play queen's gambit
- if they counter with knight to f6, i like to be aggressive and play the trompowsky attack, which basically brings by bishop to g5, threatening that knight, then if I capture and assume my bishop gets captured i can control the middle with my king's pawn as well, giving me situational advantage
- if they counter with a king/queen pawn moving one step, i'll bring the king's pawn to e4, controlling the centre, and then bring the knights out early to protect them

BLACK
- if they open with queen's pawn, i like to play an indian defense most frequently, which looks like this:
kings-indian-defense-big.jpg

here my dark squared bishop (g7) controls the entire diagonal with 3 pawn protection and then I usually castle on the next move. it's quite hard to break down.

- still wanna figure out an effective counter to king's pawn openings vs white but if they open king pawn it's less effective anyway so it gives me a better chance

Try in response to E4.. Go into D5. If they sink you go into a French defense. If they capture. Knight f6. If his knight comes out on c3 to hold. You can still recapture. Or offer your c and B pawn to position light square bishop on b7.

Connect your knights by playing the B file knight onto d7. It also blocks white bishop check. Dark square bishop goes to d6 then you hide it at b7. Queen goes in front of it to line up on H2. Light Square bishop threatens to take out knight thats probably sitting on f3. And it's not connected to the other knight. If he doesn't notice you capture..the queen will be next or mate. If they notice they'll push pawn to g3. Now you change queen to c6 and line up on the knight and squares behind it. Play pawn a6 to prevent the knight on c3 from kicking you out. Knight on d7 will come to e5 to add pressure.

So the opening you sacrifice 2 pawns but you have initiative and pressure On white. The key play to go through with it for me is where he plays his B file knight. If it's to c3 its a go for me cause I'm putting pressure on the other side and he won't help. The pawns coming down the middle need to be watched though cause you have many things sitting there that they can piggy back off to come deep into your position.

What time limits do you play? I mostly do the 1 minute blitz games.

Ppl have different preference on the playing style. I don’t take blitz seriously. There’s no strategy to that game

Yes there is bro. It's just people process shyt faster and come up with plans quicker. I can't even play 5 minute games no more. It's too slow for me. Go on chess. Com and watch the blitz games and you'll see people actually have strategy.
