Chess is an amazing game

Think it's because I'm not well versed with the strategies, openings, defenses and etc. Would be nice if I did. Almost put in work on some hard core dudes too where they had to give me props because i had them sweating like so I know I have potential. Just haven't tapped into it yet. playing off and on for almost 20 years too. I'm gonna get back into it and get a uscf membership again to rank nationally and internationally.

One thing though chess doesn't have any measure on intelligence. It's just a game.

if you already have some lvl of natural intuition you're at an advantage. once you learn those openings/strats you'll be good to go. only need to know a handful at first.

Online sucks. It's better playing in person with the pieces.

the thing I like about Online is that you don't have to argue with the person your playing if a certain rule is legit or not. Got into arguments about that back in the day

There's times when I move my pieces in the line of fire without seeing it and then when they get snatched, it pisses me off like how did I miss that. shyt hurts if it's my queen or when I think I'm getting close to checkmating. That's happened enough times to make me quit playing for awhile. Hate it when the computer does that.

I trying to get my peoples to play though but folks are like it's too hard to learn.

I use to play back in middle school and had a few competitions. Our camp counselor taught all the little hood kids and made a club during one summer camp. I haven't played in years and no one really plays unless online

I've known how to play chess since I was really little. Tbh, I dn't even remember how I learned. I just know that I've known how to play ever since I could remember

But knowing how to play and being good are two diff things

when I was in my teens, my lil bro and I used to have weekly matches against this breh who competed in national chess matches and him and his best friend faced off against each other for the grandmaster

THATs how I got good.... and what was funny was, my lil bro was naturally gifted. He would beat me with ease and even was going toe to toe with this dude who was a national competitor.

I beat him ONE time, but my bro was just gifted

neither of us have played chess in years tho. I actually went online last month looking for chess sites to get back into it. I wound up facing off against some guy in some obscure Russian region and he and I wound up chattin about life over there, and then he forfeited the game cause he wanted to hear about life in America under Trump

I dont do blitz. It sucks monkey nuts. By the time I see my opponents move I’ve lost 30secs or more. Game over in no time. I will play you straight(meaning move after move after move back to back) on a 24hr setup, but not messing with blitz. I’m playing on my phone.
