According to sources, WZ has learned there are plans for The Miz to be elevated back to the top of the card.

He recently dropped the Intercontinental title to Kofi Kingston—this was to both help solidify Kingston as a top mid-card star and free up The Miz to work in higher profile feuds.

Right now, the former world champion isn't expected to be inserted back in a title picture. The plan is for him to face other top talents and get back on track as one of the company's top talents for the future.

We're told The Miz has done all the right things in the eyes of top WWE officials. They're very pleased with his consistent improvement in-ring and on the mic. He also gets praised for being very good and willing to do the intense media schedule to promote the company.

A source also noted this is one reason why The Miz was chosen to be on the cover of the Survivor Series poster as the company knows it has general plans to get him back to the high profile status he had a year ago.
