The only time that "bigger picture" thing really meant something was when she beat Asuka before WrestleMania. And it was a really manufactured moment for the sake of making history because Charlotte could have been champion months in advance, instead of them just randomly having a championship match right before WrestleMania for the sake of making the main event more important.
The thing is, Charlotte is actually a good wrestler and she can play a convincing heel. I don't think people would have an issue with her if she wasn't given a bunch of meaningless title reigns that only last a few days or weeks.
