So, in between watching the games today (Congrats to all my ATL brehs. I legit thought y'alls season was over when Acuña Jr went down) the story basically got confirmed by Wade Keller (Who, if I'm not mistaken, is the one who broke Moxley leaving before everyone else) and isn't a work as of right now. A lot of other anecdotes about Charlotte & Becky's relationships with each other + their peers got dropped too, it looks like.

Chuck dropping the title was edited out of the replay of SD on FOX Saturday night.
It cuts to the crowd just before Becky goes for it and then cuts back to Chuck handing the title to Sonya.
So my guess is the dropping of the belt was not planned and that's why it was edited.

Sounds about right. Becky’s rise to superstardom came at Chuck’s expense, and Chuck isn’t used to not being the focus of the division.
… Not to mention the endless jobbing out Becky & Sasha in particular had to do to Chuck to keep her afloat way back when. Would not be surprised if the other three horsewomen haven’t fukked with her in a minute

Just saw a clip of the title exchange. I`m 99% sure it isn`t a work. You can see on Becky`s face she was legit pissed. She chucked the mic at the end in frustration as well. I wouldn`t be surprised if they were kind of arguing beforehand as well.

It wouldn't surprise me if she only agreed to do that if she were guaranteed the SD title in exchange. Charlotte has never dropped the title for the good of someone else, you can see Wrestlemania 32 for evidence of that.
