Didn’t Barkley say the Timberwolves would never be good with Towns and Gobert? Now he’s trying to switch up the narrative to save face.
HAVE THEY WON A PLAYOFF SERIES YET?
WILL ANYONE BE SHOCKED
IF THEY GET BOUNCED IN THE 1ST RD?

That’s the NBA media and fan base in general. Folks couldn’t get enough of dumping on the wolves for that trade but now that they have the best record in the west nobody is saying anything.

How so? Having Rudy on the floor forces defenses to make a decision. Put your biggest post defender on Kat at which point Rudy should kill the other team on the offensive boards. Keep a smaller guy on Kat at which point Kat should eat in the post. Or you force the other team to go bigger than normal which then can fukk up the other team's offense. The person it hurts is Edwards IMO.Its year 9...he is who he is at this point. That said, having somebody like Rudy actually hinders his ability to post. You wanna feature him as a post threat you need a shooter at 4/5 next to him.
Crazy how Barkley is the “voice” of playing Basketball the right way
Dude was a bad defender, shot way to many 3s and held the ball for too long
They did this for years and he never switched up his style of play so they made him a 4 instead of a 5, and it's worked wonders. Its year 9...he is who he is at this point. Hence my first sentenceThey did this for years and he never switched up his style of play so they made him a 4 instead of a 5, and it's worked wonders.
KAT is a natural 4, it is what it is, I've said for years that keeping him at 5 is a lost cause.
Also, he's got scrawny legs, I doubt he'll ever be moving grown men around with brute force, it's not how he's built.
If you are a legit post up threat, you aint getting guarded straight up. Having a non shooting big makes it easier to keep bodies down there to get in the way. Again, this aint me saying he is a great post player but merely that having a non shooting big next to him doesnt help with that. How so? Having Rudy on the floor forces defenses to make a decision. Another wrinkle that's helped is that Katt has gotten better at feeding Gobert as well when teams overhelp on him in the post to get Gobert easy buckets.
