The idea that MJ surrounded himself with Yes Men died a while back in his official ownership imo. And honestly I don't blame him either way.... you're brand new to this level. You want people you can trust while you get established more than big names who might take your naivety for a spin before moving on. It paid off too locally. The arena renovations, better TV deal, and local commitments did a 180 after he got rolling. Bob Johnson was awful.
The bigger problem I see is Chuck couldn't see how big of a move that was. Dude talking about that team is gonna suck blah blah okay. But there's more to being a black, former player team owner than wins and losses. Its obvious Chuck ain't seeing that and probably still doesn't considering how limited his perspectives on certain things are.
