Reparations for slavery is fanciful.

Reparations for documented black descendants of more recent Jim Crow casualties - black veterans left out of the GI bill, lynching victims, land theft victims etc. - is plausible, but only if the national Overton window shifts considerably to the left.

That'll take consecutive election victories by progressive Dems, intelligent pro-reparations activism that doesnt underplay or overplay its hand, and the recovery of the Supreme Court as well.

Why would an ultra conservative SC, GOP House/Senate/Presidency = We Got Reparations?

Then they think by letting Dems lose, somehow Dems would suddenly be like "OK, in order to win.....we gotta campaign on getting The Blacks their well deserved reparations."

Because as we all know.....every other race wants us to get paid.

While we SHOULD get reparations, we are the only ones who think so outside of some uber liberal whites. To get reparations, you need the most liberal politicians getting elected. Gotta pack the courts so shyt doesn't get overturned.

The truth is that most of these both siders are dead silent on reparations when a Republican is in charge. It's only when a Dem reaches for power that they want to haggle. You can't haggle without leverage. GOP offers nothing and the Dems know that. You'd need the GOP to offer it.....but their entire party would blow up. Trump could probably talk his followers into supporting it....but he would never.
