Harden and a healthy CP3 worked because both could (at worst) spotup and shoot off ball while the other initiates. Defenses had to stay honest.

Whereas Russ is a complete liability if he's not initiating. But can be a liability with the ball as well.

If he can't make them spotup 3s come playoff time, it ain't gon work.

Let's not overreact like we haven't caught Jones doing LeBron favors, openly saying he doesn't care about the draft, not understanding the cap so they can get once desired players like D'lo, etc.

So far he's looking better, seemingly making the right moves to get this team back in the playoff race, but we don't know what his endgame is, if he has one.
