They've only got the MLE to offer, and the DPE hasn't yet been sanctioned. It definitely is an L for them though - they needed someone like Baynes. They've got arguably the worst frontcourt spacing and done nothing to fix it.

Gasol was "unplayable" against a team that went small. Lakers signed him to replace Dwight, who was also unplayable when teams went small. Gasol is going to be used when they need to match up with an Embiid or a Jokic, and/or need another playmaker on the floor.

Matthews does a surprisingly good job against guys like Kawhi and Lebron when he was on the Bucks. Between Matthews and Kuz they should do a decent job against bigger wings. Not a massive downgrade.

Well if he can hold up against those bigger dudes then yeah you start him and KCP and they'll be tough to beat with that 5 man group
