All they've done is sign non-shooting bigs, dumbass. That's the complete opposite of modern elements. Overpaying Grant ain't it either
It's all about defensive schemes. The offense doesn't matter, they are tanking. But you want a young team to play good defense so when you bring others in who can hoop and got potential, they will understand the element of the defense. It's easier for team building. The Hawks did the opposite and man it's hard to stop people while people can stop you. You gotta do a complete makeover. In this case, you don't.

I gotta applaud the Knicks. No crazy signings and they still have $30M in cap space left. I would’ve hit up the Hornets and tried to get some picks to take on Batum’s contract.

MJ must have some type of player crush on Hayward...

This is how front offices move logic tells you the guy has missed 111 games in 3 seasons and isn’t quite as good as he was in Utah. U just drafted LaMelo Ball and have an exciting young team.

But to MJ he’s the one that got away he doesn’t care about logic he sees Hayward as a complete player and wants a playoff push. We gotta remember how out of touch these front office guys are, the ego and emotions, and that ultimately this is just a hobby or a job for rich dudes.
