This is what I think happens. Boston sees if Hayword opts into his 34mil player option(final year) ..if he opts in they trade him and picks to OKC for Adams and Gallo.

Yes he is a UFA but he also wants a chance for a title ..a sign and trade would work.

Pretty sure the Hawks can sign Hayward outright without needing a S&T so I don't know about all that.

Their only incentive to work out a deal with us would be if they want to get Hayward and preserve cap space for someone else.
