I'm sure if he was on a major label secretly, he'd have an album out. It's a decision he made and he's been successful with it so far. He doesn't have any pressure to release an album, no label loans to pay back... you're actually proving the point that he's not a "plant"Thank you for proving my point.
Failed industry plant.
How can you possibly have "made it" when you've yet to even produce an album when you've been around since 09, despite the manufactured co-signs.
These dudes literally contradict themselvesI'm sure if he was on a major label secretly, he'd have an album out. It's a decision he made and he's been successful with it so far. Bahahaha. You probably listen to that fake asap fakkit whose name escapes me. Only c00n is you thinking this plants booty ass music is gonna do anything for anyone
chance got the website developed to integrate with Apple Music? this dude is not indie
He's "indie" but his mixtape is an Apple Music exclusive.I'm sure if he was on a major label secretly, he'd have an album out. It's a decision he made and he's been successful with it so far. People are acting like we don't like Chance because "he's positive". Nah, not at all. If anything, his message is refreshing. With this tape I can confirm it; his music sucks. The autotune was shyt, but let's get to the real issue, I don't feel like Chance has the "soul" he wants to portray. This dude doesnt sound like he went through a lot of struggles in his life, and if he did he's not good at expressing them. He's bubblegum. He's soul as much as kenny g is jazz.
LISTEN TO THAT
That's good gospel music. Powerful, HITS YOUR SOUL. Covers the range of human emotions one can feel.
Chance's "gospel" music is try hard, and you'll notice that the choirs are the most moving/talented parts of his music, but even then Kanye or Chance is going "Look at me!!!" mixing their voice above the choir. It's contrived, it's meant to elevate chance up to look like a godly man when he's hanging around industry weirdos. When he's not using the choir, it's evident that his band is making bubble gum feel good music with no depth or character. Peep the song "mixtape" which was just an excuse to get a thug feature and have a beat that sits weirdly between chance's sound and thug's. At least Acid Rap you could say it was him mostly doing the work, he was the main show, but now it's pointing towards a fall off artistically with this tape. He upped the corn, upped the bubble gum, upped the mainstream aspect, he's off the radar for me now. Surf was trash, and this is just not what he's trying to execute. He also re uses flows too much. He strikes me as a fake.
You shold watch a Chance The Rapper interview. He is very open about his upbringing and his intentions. There's nothing forced about his passion at all.
He's very passionate about his city and the issues within it. Listen to his Othertone interview with Pharrell with Pharrell for example. You will see your perception is just way off.
Also, the music is excellent and is being received as such
