I'm shocked cano getting booed is getting so much talk. I thought it was a no brainer and it's not even because of the money. So anyone who thinks that's the reason is completely lost. If he has a signature moment as a Yankee I can't think of it. Winning the hr derby:yeshrug:. Don't get me wrong he was a great player for the Yankees but the one year they won with him it was literally a-rod matsui and pitching he had little to do with it. But the biggest reason he got booed is because he never put his body on the line for the team. Never busted it down the line never dove no wonder why he never gets injured. I don't even dislike cano I enjoyed his time here and maybe he shouldn't of been booed but I don't feel like the fans owed him cheers either like some other players did or would.

Chanting sell out was more of a jeer and in fun than anything else. These self absorbed media folks are the worst..."Yankees fans are unappreciative"...shut up

Exactly

We are a sophisticated crowd. Even booing Tim Tebow before he put on a Jet uniform.

Pretty much. There wasnt any vitriol coming from the crowd(about 17 people last night)...no reason to analyze mild heckling. The guy got 240 mill! Of course he bounced....but at the same time fans can poke fun too.

"signature moment"? this isn't a hollywood movie breh.

even tho I wasn't his biggest fan, he's still the best 2nd baseman in this team's history.

giambi and nick fukking swisher was cheered when they came back. show some damn respect for at least 1 AB, then you can boo him all you want.

today's yankee fans loves to boo more than they cheer(unless they played in the 90's).

bruh, I didn't get it either. I cheered like a motherfukker when he came up.

The fukked up part is that you could tell it hurt him too. If all things were equal he'd still be here.
