Why do people keep acting like Chadwick Boseman created Black Panther or his estate any legal claims to the property? Just recast and move on at this point.

Exactly. I don’t get why it’s even a talking point. He was a person who got paid to do a job and now he’s dead so you need a new employee. People way too emotionally invested in something so inconsequential.

Honestly, the more that I read about this production, the hype that I had for this film lessens even more. They should've recast and kept it moving. A majority of movie going audiences would've understood the circumstances behind it, but now we're going to get Chadwick's face super imposed on a Boseman body double and we're all going to know it's fake and it'll be very off putting. I wish everyone on the production well, because this is starting to sound more and more like a classic 'Production Hell' story.


As for the MCU? After DS: MoM, I'm not sure what the next big MCU film I'm looking forward to will be. I have no interest in boring, monotone Captain Marvel or Jane (who got two small namedrops in the Ragnarok and Endgame after Natalie Portman originally disavowed the series) becoming the new Thor. I've even lost a lot of interest in Deadpool 3 as more time goes by. I guess the Blade movie might be good. Maybe.

It was a busy movie, and he's a more stoic character any way

The Black Panther character wasn't created by Boseman. He was created by two Jewish white men in 1966. It's foolish to not recast him since the T'Challa character has more stories to be told.

James Bond, Superman, Batman, Spider-Man, The Hulk, Black Panther, etc were created 50+ years ago, longer than the actors have been alive and will be around long after we're all gone.

Chadwick had a hell of a run in his short life. His legacy isn't dependent on him being the only T'Challa in the MCU. It's not respectful to just doggishly hold on to this shyt for Boseman even though he's gone, really it's maddening. It reminds me of how one of my sisters ever since our mother died she hoards our mothers old shyt and I mean it's not kept it pristine condition, she virtually lives on top of her stuff and our mom's stuff and it looks awful, every few weeks I try to help her clean up but really I'm working around the mess and I make plenty suggestions like giving her belongings to women in need, how it would honor our mother and make space in the room but it falls on deaf ears because emotion and all this other shyt. This probably why I get so triggered by this topic...
