Yall actually think someone who posted 15REC/276YDS/1TD with Tom Brady throwing to him would get 5-8 TDs with Matt Moore or David Garrard throwing to him?........:comeon:

The only reason why anyone is talking about this clown now is unrelated to football; his Twitter account is the only thing he has going for him. :sadcam:

That's an average of 18 yards per catch. That's still producing for how much they actually targeted him. They hardly put the cat in the game and when they did he gained some yardage or he was a decoy for Wes Welker. The Pats stopped throwing to wideouts halfway through Randy's last season there. Their passing game is slot and TE's.

You reachin' man. He lost a step, and he didn't prepare himself well enough to learn the playbook to compensate for that. Deion Branch was able to put up a respectable 51REC/702YDS/5TDS last season, while Chad was too busy keeping up with his Twitter followers and not giving a damn. Chad is :flabbynsick:, and he is a meltdown away from heading down the same path as his buddy :to:

Chad was the one who in interviews before last season talked about how classy the Pats were and about how he wasnt gonna talk to the media much b/c that's not the way to do things in NE.

Now he's saying the Pats told him to keep quiet? :comeon:

I hope he has a great season tho

you just made a comparison that implied that going from clausen to cam is similar to going from brady to moore/garrard

because its easy to point to the qb change as the reason for steve smith's comeback. i think its more than the qb change. its not like smith's targets skyrocketed from 10-11.
:snoop: :snoop:

steve smith 2010: 75 targets, tied for 77th in the league among all players
steve smith 2011: 129 targets, tied for 14th in the league among al players

steve smith did not have 75 targets in 2010. he had 102.
