They set Roman up, dude always struggled with long winded back and forth promos. He's always at his best when he keeps it short and sweet. Said it before and I'll say it again, he's the BIG DAWG he doesn't have to do too much talking and just have him be about that action.
Dude even seems the most comfortable when his promos are short and to the point. Sadly, WWE is too stupid or just wants to turn him into something he's not because they haven't figured that out yet.
And I'll even give an example, night after Wrestlemania: "This is my yard now". Short, sweet and to the point and it was one of the best segments of the year.

Cena just undid all that work TSC put in to get Reigns over. 
Big Dog got toe tagged and left under a cover after delivering his best promo in the 5 years he's been there. John went off script to press him, and that was his best improvision...

Cena came in with a pretty clean cut opening statement that really had non-shoot direction. Then, Reign was so bytch made when he vaguely pointing that John Cena can't touch him and telegraph that he is gonna win this is all said and done...That's was his open shtick and it was incredibly bytch made.
It seem apparent that really fired up Cena to rip into him with a Big League Shoot on him and really rip him apart on a different level.

See vince and co keep tryna treat him like he just came up and then force feeding him vs lesnar like its some new shyt
Or act like reigns neva was in a main event at mania as if everytime he wins the belt its his first time cuz of all his other flops

At any point Roman could've cut Cena off in his 2nd part and called BS and listed examples of the BS.
