Cena always taking liberties with the game plan.:beli:

You could tell roman was caught off guard just based on his reaction.

Cena be thinking he slick, but I been peeped it. This "shoot promo" was supposed to be on some sparring tip, but cena had bring out the brass knuckles tryna get a knockout hit.:hhh:

Dude been extra arrogant since he made the jump to raw.

They set Roman up, dude always struggled with long winded back and forth promos. He's always at his best when he keeps it short and sweet. Said it before and I'll say it again, he's the BIG DAWG he doesn't have to do too much talking and just have him be about that action.

Dude even seems the most comfortable when his promos are short and to the point. Sadly, WWE is too stupid or just wants to turn him into something he's not because they haven't figured that out yet.

And I'll even give an example, night after Wrestlemania: "This is my yard now". Short, sweet and to the point and it was one of the best segments of the year.

SMH @ people in here giddy about Cena doing the same shyt he does to alot of other stars. He's gets the ultimate green light against a guy like Roman that knows he still suffers consequences and can't really afford to be shooting strays at people. Cena just did another pipebomb, meaning he rattled off all the shyt people know already like he was saying something new. LMAO @ I used the US title to bring in AJ Styles and Kevin Owen. :gucci: "New Talent", John?:sas1: How come you aint give Baron Corbin or Rusev that glow up though? you know, new talent. :sas2: That was dumbest shyt i heard in a couple years.

100% facts have been spoken in these quotes.

Miz heated him up when he could work shoot on SD, but Cena knew he had a script and was safe lol
Miz lit him up on Talking Smack (audio only)

Had Daniel copping all kinds of pleas. :mjlol: But this is why you need people who can actually talk if you're gonna do these sorts of promos. That feud got people interested in a whatever match because Miz and Cena's back and forths were so entertaining.

I wish one of these dudes would call the segment for what it is - be like, "oh this is my moment for you to say all this smarky, shoot shyt and then you leave and have the last word right? Talk in Reverend Cena mode, or maybe Rapper Cena or maybe even Bawston Cena and get all serious. You'll crack corny jokes about how we say the same thing all the time when you've been saying the same things for the last 10 years, using Make a Wish Foundation" kids as an excuse to not get booed because you've got 5 movesand you're stale as hell. Naw, you're not catching me with that. I'll see you at the ppv, bro. " and just walk off with the Cena smirk.

This ... is one of the best responses a wrestler in that position could muster. :salute:

Backstage Creative News On The Roman Reigns And John Cena Contract Signing Segment From RAW - WrestlingInc.com

Regarding the much-talked about contract signing with John Cenaand Roman Reigns on this week's RAW from Memphis, the segment went down exactly how it was designed to with the "shooting from the hip" and "breaking the fourth wall." It was also scripted that Cena would talk about going heel and how Reigns was supposed to replace him but couldn't get the job done, as well as Reigns talking about how Cena always buries up & coming talents but Reigns is the one guy that Cena can't bury.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter adds that the one part of the segment that was not planned ahead of time was Cena making fun of Reigns after Reigns forgot his lines.
The script for this segment was done last week and Vince McMahon personally spoke with both Superstars about what he wanted to happen. Reigns and Cena were given outlines of the script.

Cena and Reigns will do battle at the September 24th WWE No Mercy pay-per-view from the Staples Center in Los Angeles. No word yet on what they have planned for the match but it won't be the last meeting between the two.

There's still people thinking Roman "held his own" :laff::laff:clearly those folks watched 1/3 of that segment

Who is saying that? If anything people know Cena had the upper hand in that segment, but then again what segment Cena hasn't had the upper hand on is the question to ponder. Cena always gets to throw jabs and after jabs, allows the person to say what they want within limits, and then Cena gets the last word.

It's always easy to make somebody look weak when you have the privileges. Even Roman doesn't get the same privileges as Cena. I think that was shown Monday.
