If it's based off kayfabe how could CM Punk lose? He's been champion for almost the whole past year. I don't understand Miz though unless they put a lot of weight in the kayfabe victory (where he got help from The Rock)
Cena may not give him Punk his props..but PWI is..

Punk has had a very good year and deserves to be ranked #1...but that doesn't change the fact that this dudes run has been underwhelming.
When he first started getting his big push people were talking about he had set himself up as the next Stone Cold and his promo was gonna kick start a new "Reality era" in wrestling. All that's happened is Punk has gotten a big push. He hasn't brought in significantly more fans, he hasn't changed the business, he hasn't a run of all time great feuds, he hasn't even gotten WWE to bring back the ice cream bars.

According to his interview on Aftermath, the PWI guy was saying how it was between Punk and Hiroshi Tanahashi for #1 (if he didn't lose the title going into the grading period), but Punk's reign put him over the top. It is also based on mostly kayfabe as they said Cena, Rhoode, Bryan and Sheamus were in the running also. (Kayfabe or not, Sheamus? Ugh.)
