John Cena is the franchise. Franchise players are kept strong and catered to. He's the sun, and all the other wrestlers are planets that orbit, so if John Cena said "I aint doin it..". He aint doin it

Randy Orton is a supporting player. Supporting players are replaceable, and they do jobs. If Randy orton refused a job, he's hittin the impact zone next thursday.

Point is Cena wields considerable power, and he's used that power in decidedly non-malicious ways. Only other guy I can think of who was even remotely like that was the Rock, and thats a misleading comparison because the Rock clearly lost interest in wrestling as a main focus early on, in lieu of hollywood aspirations.

How long have you been following wrestling? Pretty much every modern, established, main event star has almost made it their job to figure out ways to avoid putting potential threats to their spot over. Especially when they're in the prime or their earning potential.
