What are the chances that Rondo gets traded? I just bought a Rondo jersey and i'll be damned if they do him like they did my boy Monta ( yes im a warrior fan) , and knock the jersey 50% off.

Look at it like this breh, it was a 50/50 shot (at most) that he got traded at the deadline. We were looking terrible then. We ended up with two chances to go to the finals and Rondo was our best player basically throughout. The second best player (KG) has his contract expiring.

The only scenarios that have Rondo leaving are far fetched (Trading for Dwight or LeBron, or signing DeRon Williams). I think your jersey is safe for a while.

I dunno, Boston seems hell bent on trading Rondo. They've put him on the trading block on last year's trade deadline, last off season & this years trade deadline. For some reason, regardless of him being their best player, Boston really wants Rondo out of there.

Ainge is big on maximizing assets, as he did to acquire Allen and Garnett, but I think Rondo's recent performances have made him realize maximizing the asset of Rondo is next to impossible. Maybe he isn't convinced, but the way the Celtics started to rely on Rondo for scoring, and the more and more he delivered, signified to many Celtics fans that he actually is good enough to build around and the Celtics believed in him to be as such, rather than just being another good player that should be traded for a couple good parts and picks.

Rondo isn't leaving, Ray and KG will most likely play on next year under small contracts which frees up a lot of cap space to go after someone like Josh Smith. Jeff Green will return as well so if you look at it that way, the C's could do a quick rebuild and challenge for the title again :yeshrug:

Maybe I'm too optimistic though :russ:
