I remember when she passed... Two big funerals, in Miami and New York. Univision and Telemundo just about had 24 hour coverage on her after she died.

Her diagnosis was HUGE and she still completed her last album. I think people knew it was worse than they thought because there were already docs going up on Univision about her life even before she passed in 2003.
