At least he's telling you straight up what it is and how much it'll cost. Gotta respect honestly. He could've presented it as some massive luxurious meal, then sold the actual plates, and gotten praise cause "he still delivered"....

There’s a lot of racism in how different cuisines are priced, so I’m not gonna say they out of pocket because it’s fried chicken, but their menu is lacking. Should be at least two more courses or at least heavy hors d'oeuvres/canapes to warrant $300/seat

As someone who lives in NYC and is fortunate enough to be able to enjoy the occasional $300 meal, menu is definitely lacking for my tastes. However, food is subjective. If most people who eat it enjoy it and are willing to pay that much, can't really call it a scam.
