Look like they left Asians / Indians ( @Kool G Trap ) out of the study :ohhh:

We mostly eat at home. For the most part, I just like cooking and the way that food tastes. I know people have busy lives, but shyt, It takes about an hour to make a decent meal. White people food is easy as fukk to make too. I realize some people never learned how to make shyt from their parents, but neither did I . Sure, they gave me a hand and some tips on my first ten or so meals I made as a teenager, but after that I was pretty much doing it myself. What single mothers and other busy people need to learn is how to prep when they DO have spare time to make healthy tasty food. marinating in advance, buying in bulk, even cooking in bulk and advance make a huge difference. Some foods taste really good as leftovers too. You just gotta be cognizant of what you're doing.

But people get lazy and sometimes too cheap with what theyre doing (although fresh produce isnt inherently that expensive), :yeshrug: you just have to care and some people are like :yeshrug:

My pops played no games...he is an arrogant Naija man :pachaha: he expected food on the table EVERY NIGHT unless they were going to dinner somewhere. My mom cooked damn near everyday. We ate fast food every once in a while.

Same here. Parents are from the caribbean, my mom used to cook every other night, pops would cook on the nights she didn't cook. I rarely ate fast food as a kid. I remember going months without drinking soda since my parents made juices with fresh fruits from the lil mexican grocery stores.

It surprises me how many young women refuse to cook or even learn how to cook, how dependent they become on fast food, and worst, putting soda in the bottle and feeding it to their little ones.

Not surprising. Single mothers don't have time to cook. Most black women with children are single mothers. Most black people were raised by single mothers. Its very much related. Think about it. If a women is married to a man...he is going to demand and expect her to cook. My pops played no games...he is an arrogant Naija man :pachaha: he expected food on the table EVERY NIGHT unless they were going to dinner somewhere. My mom cooked damn near everyday. I can't agree with this. My mother was the only parent, and she cooked damn near every night, except friday & saturday. She came home much later than most parents, 9:00 p.m.-11:00 p.m., and still made sure we ate home cooked meals. The thing is she is from the south, whereas a lot of women who don't cook tend to be from the city, and don't feel shame in eating fast food for dinner all the time. I see it everyday. Plus my mother didn't like spending money when she didn't have to. Fast food is a major reason why a lot of people are broke all the time, when it's time to pay the bills.

I just got diagnosed today, im not even over weight nor eat fast food every day :(

My condolences bro...

The origin of this disease is simply unknown for the most part, but the high consumption of saturated fats has been commonly linked to type II diabetes. It's possible that genetics may play a role in your case as well...

The real abominations are grocery stores refusing to open locations in the hood, corner stores getting the worst, near-expired products, fast food chains concentrating on flooding poor neighborhoods and generational poverty that drives fast food culture.

Perhaps someone like yourself should consider opening such a grocery store in the hood and servicing this underserved market?

Yall droppin sarcasm like what I said wasn't true. I guess if you would rather take the

route and blame Black people for being lazy, then there's not much more to say.

Word. My moms used to come home at 10:30 pm and first thing she would do is make me lunch and dinner for the next day. I'd make breakfast myself.
