The thing is, this Boston team wasn't supposed to win. That's what makes their run exciting. After Hayward went down, nobody gave them a chance.
And to start the season, the Cavs, according to this board, were an AARP group who would never be able to play any semblance of defense and lost in the Kyrie trade and would miss him dearly. If no Hayward makes Boston's streak sweeter then so should the fact the Cavs have no center and have been starting a point guard that doesn't belong in the league anymore. All while their second best player hasn't played a minute yet.
Nah this makes things better, hopefully they keep winning so we can kill the Lebron needs more help narrative when they lose the finals in 5

SSOL Suns by far... The hype for them compared to what they actually ended up accomplishing (marginally more successful than the lob city clips) is on a level of its on... The cac hoops media/journalist types had a "if your erection lasts longer than four hours, please consult a doctor" level boner for that squad... You can go back and revisit the write-ups bout them and might need a barf bag for the nausea... Steve Nash is the only multiple mvp to never play a second in the finals... fukk the fact that Steve Nash had MVPs at all, let alone two... @profasi (whatever his name is now) was the most insufferable fakkit of a stan of a team in combined/coli history... It's almost as if the basketball Gods sent this Warriors squad to punish him for his past indiscretions - a squad that hot-lined, hot-song'd the '00s Suns' style, anchored by a player who is the evolution of Nash, and didn't have the run of bad luck that the '00s Suns had. It's no wonder he hates GS so much - they're everything those '00s Suns teams were, and MORE, and have multiple titles to show for it. Now he's doing everything in his power not to acknowledge how great this Warriors team is, because he spent all those years trying to get others to acknowledge those Suns teams.
I'm surprised he even watches basketball anymore after all the torment and pain.
