You do realize that if he played more and even had 8 attempts, would still be shooting terribly bad..... this is why they use percentages to explain performance regardless of minutes.
Of course more minutes helps but he'll have to deliver averages % wise

Well, the FACTS suggest differently. They suggest that he is, in fact, a 16% shooter.. Unless he produces better results, those will be his numbers.
Now if you're talking about potential, ok - theoretically it could be true that if he plays more and gets more attempts to shoot per game he gets into a better flow, feels less pressure to score every 0.8 shot per game he takes.. that makes sense. But he is in fact a 16% shooter, those are his numbers.
Look at the high level of court awareness to make sure the ball bounced out of bounds off his face so that the defender would be unable to steal the ball and push for an easy 5 on 4 basket.
You can't teach that.
