TATTOOED CAT CELEBRATES HIS 5TH BIRTHDAY IN PRISON

A cat tattooed with prison gang inkings has escaped its owner by leaping through a window in a bid for freedom.

Demon the Sphinx cat was tattooed by his owner Kara Fight - who covered the animal's furless body in inkings popular with criminals in Russia.

Kara, 35, made a desperate appeal for the return of his six-year-old pet.

Demon darted from Kara through an open car window during a visit to the village of Pervomaisky near Yekaterinburg.

Kara, real name Rustam Shafiev, said he has no experience of living alone in the wild and needs special care for his skin that can burn easily in sunlight.

There's nothing to suggest Demon's owner is part or has been part of a criminal gang.

“I searched for it myself everywhere, I called for the cat, it was useless.”

The next day 15 other Russian bloggers joined the hunt for the cat which is tattooed on its face, back and chest, reports the Daily Star .

Kara added: "I’m very worried. I’m not eating, not sleeping."

The owner claimed he was “taking sedatives by the handful” over the missing cat.
