I'm all for not being a psycho towards animals, but i don't think anybody should be doing time in prison for an animal unless they do something on a scale that threatens their population, like hunting endangered creatures in mass or something like that. Should just be fine/Ticket.
This dude got more time for kicking a cat, then most people often get for a DUI when they are risking killing whole families.

Literally arbitrary how we make up laws, it's perfectly legal to shoot a deer in face even though walmart has plenty of meat availible for purchase.
But kicking a cat is a 40 month sentence? Both people are harming animals for no reason other than personal satisfaction.

Never got the appeal of cruelty to animals. I would have a sanctuary if time and money matched my intentions.

i didn't call for him to be absolved. I just said he shouldn't lose his freedom over this. A hefty fine is more than enough punishment for this type of behavior.

Naw, prison is a good place for animal abusers. You got to be a sick fukk that lacks empathy to abuse an innocent animal. More than likely they will do it to a human too.
