I loved Isaac

But I think when they handle that shyt badly they give racist fans a lot of fuel to shyt on it

Reading who Annette was in the games the shyt they did does seem unnecessary

Yea i agree with u there. Isaac’s swap didnt cause shyt cause he was dope and his character originally looked zesty as hell but i didnt know annette was a character in the game already. Wouldve been dope to just add her as an original so it wouldnt give fuel to hate. U right

A lot of y’all in here sounding bitter. Season was good to me. Not near the S-Tier OG series but I was entertained. I liked the Annette character and thought it was appropriate for the times and themes of the show. All 3 of the mains were annoying but hell they are teens. Big Bad seemed like pure unadulterated evil but wasn’t fleshed out. I’m coming back for more when next season drops.

You‘re most def entitled to your opinion but what’s your “par” for the comparison? If the OG series is your baseline then new series is subpar but being subpar to a top tier anime doesnt make Nocturne trash.

I honestly don't even think it's fair to compare it to the OG show. There is also some revisionist history going on here because I remember when s2 and 3 dropped and mfers were hating because there was a TON of talking and little action. S3 in particular is like 70% setup for s4. s1 is a 6 episode long introduction, 6 eps to get trevor and sypha to meet Alucard basically lol. We got like 2.5 seasons worth of shyt in these 8 eps and it mostly hits, some GREAT action.

The worst thing about this season of nocturne is they gave Annette just a little too much screen time. Race swapping doesn't bug me, and the african magic stuff was cool but she edged richter and maria out too much and it feels like a purely politics call.

It's wild that we going off of popular opinion instead of just analyzing what's right in front of us

If you like it that's cool, but don't dismiss detractors with "revisionism"

The writer of the first season was Warren Ellis

It's going to be hard for just anyone to compare

And I don't have a problem with ppl liking it, but don't try to gaslight ppl into dismissing their critiques because you want it ti be just as good as the first
