i dont think anyone who watched this shyt live expected to see the fight play out like that..its also the greatest fight ive seen in my lifetime too
on boxingscene there was a huge argument that castillo should have been able to finish the fight, but i think it was just emotions running high, castillo was clearly defenseless. I seriously thought Diego was finished. lmao. what a fukking fight. the second mouthpiece spit out was legendary, he HAD to do that, no matter what he was going to lose. Im looking over at my stepfather like "he might have bought himself some time but hes done", but chico landed a shot and Castillo was sent reeling, it was so subtle, but then he kept landing, i stood up in awe no bullshyt
when tony weeks waived him off i couldnt believe what i witnessed.
my stepfather is american so he described it as "hagler and hearns...for an entire fight" at that point i was 22 so i hadnt had a chance to see it but when i did, i understood what he meant.
edit: only reason i watched the fight because i had no hos currently lined up that saturday night. i had to take a loss, but in reality, allah wanted me to witness history.
