Cassidy is one of the 5 best punchline heavy rappers to walk this planet.
All the top guys (Mook, Lux, Clips, Goodz, Rex) were rapping and battling when Cassidy first came up and none of them could fukk with him then period. All of them were battling in the same Harlem streets and it was Cassidy that took it to the next level.
He was having cyphers and battles amongst the likes of the LOX, DMX, State Prop and was so nice that he got on from just bars. No gimmick, no amazing backstory, no crazy flows or melodies, just battle bars.
And as far as the new guys go, I watched Chess get ragdolled by Reed Dollaz. Reed Dollaz is a YMCA version of Cassidy.
It's basically the NBA vs the Rucker. All the rucker guys talk shyt about how they can wash the NBA cats and get praised for scoring 30 and washing other rucker cats. Until the NBA guys comes in and drops 60. Showing them the difference between the very best in the world and the great semi pros.
