Nah it's not the same. EA has a history of destroying every company they acquire. And let's not act like Bethesda didn't nearly kill themselves with the whole Fallout 76 fiasco. Microsoft buying them might have been the best thing to happen to them.

I have a strong feeling EA as a company probably won't make it through the 2030's between their development slavery and executions and these lootbox/microtransactions lawsuits they can only be functionally destructive for so long

EA is the worst of the worst. Them suits do not care, it's all about money and share holders. What's even keeping them a float at this point? FIFA, Madden, and World of Warcraft? And them shyts is riddle with MTX, billions upon billions made
