Casein has a very low
BV. Which means it has a lower BCAA profile and a very low level of nitrogen retention. Its not a good protein source. It sits at the bottom of your stomach like glue trying to digest. Which you don't need to be doing while your body is trying to rest. You need your sleep, your body shouldn't be trying to digest glue. If you feel you absolutely need it your better off drinking some milk that most of the time is 80/20 (casein/whey) or eating some cottage cheese. The Casein protein powders are a waste of money. They use to throw casein away before they made glue out of it but some scam artist came up with the idea of selling and labeling it as "time released" "slow-digesting". Its cheap for them so the mark up is high. They found a way to market it and they are making a killing on it. Trust me, knowledge doesn't come from post count breh, I've been in this sports nutrition game for a while now.
Like I said, your better off taking a Whey isolate with a slow digesting carb before bed.
