cartagena is chill, has more black people and has a much warmer climate, a lot of beaches and islands you could go to, no metro system.

medellin is more of the white hispanics, is more of an urban vibe, has a great metro system and the climate is more mild

Medellin is more of a real city. But it’s in the mountains so the weather isn’t as nice. There’s Black Colombians there; it’ll feel like your typical American city in that regard.

Cartagena is full of prostitutes. Including many from the poorer Venezuela. Weather is much nicer (tropical). Beaches are dusty in the city, tho.
