Now how do I compare that to somebody like a Big Pun,T.I ,Beanie Sigel,Fabolous,Jadakiss,Bizzy Bone who was actually killing features along side people who could rap for real? I literally saw Beanie Sigel equal if not outshine prime Nas,prime Jay,prime Jada,Scarface etc. but im supposed to be impressed by J Coles feature run

He’s not in my personal 10. He’s not on my objective 10 but he’s definitely top 15-20 and ranked higher objectively than Beans, Game, Fab, and Jada.

He has the sales, the classic singles, the classic verses, a classic album, the technical ability, the impact, and longetivity. He’s objectively one of the greats.

Saying J Cole is better than Beanie Sigel is worst than saying Fab is better than Nas lowkey. Because if you say Fab is better than Nas,clearly theres just a style and content preference. J Cole and Beanie Sigel have closer similarities,both at least do story telling,both make heartfelt soulful records. But Beans does it on so much of a higher level,theres no way you are objectively coming to this conclusion smh. Then scoffing at Bizzy Bone who you could argue has as many classic singles as J Cole,and more classic verses. Even on his verses where you may not fully know what Bizzy is saying,you still know the melody and cadence.
Only J Cole fans know J Cole verses and J Cole songs. So thats nice if he has alot of people who listen to his music. But i think theres zero cross over. There should be NOBODY in a top 10-15 that you would have to be a fan to know any of their verses,or any of their songs. Just not a memorable or impactful artist imo. Thats the opposite of impact.
