I know he doesn't get discussed much, but Brian Dawkins was that nikka too.
Nikkuh didnt i say Troy is a strong safety, he's never played free safety. They both have 1 Defensive NFL MVP
In 2006 breh, they realized the schemes they were using with him were that of a free safety and at that time they switched to the Hybrid 3-4 from the Bear 4-3 due to Ray Lewis's aging. This switch is what allows ray to continue to play at the level he does, he wasn't required to do as much. Haloti Ngata playing the 1 technique NT has helped out a lot also.

Ed Reed is the more complete safety but Troy P has had a better career since his teams always been nasty. If I have to pick one or the other to be on my team I'm rolling with Reed he snatches the ball and takes it back for touchdowns almost every time.
