There's no better feeling than running a couple 5 on 5 games at the gym :ehh: (if you win of course)

However, do you burn fat playing basketball the same way you would burn fat running :ohhh:?

I looked up some of the fat but I want to hear anecdotals from you guys. i know it's hard sometimes to start playing right away because you have to wait for a couple games to play sometimes and if you lose, then you go back to the line :camby:and start asking people if they got 5:flabbynsick:, and willing to take you on.

Have you guys found the treadmill more effective than basketball when it comes to cutting fat:ld:?

You'll more than likely burn more calories running but it won't be a huge difference. I used to train for races all the time but now I would rather play basketball since running is hard on the knees. Stationary bike > everything else though.

You think since basketball is closer to doing interval training than just straight running, that might come out with more calories burned?

I like basketball more, but running is easier for me. Basketball is hard and it hurts, but it's fun. Running if using the right form while running is way easier, but more monotnous. I get bored running, but it's a necessary evil. I burn more calories playing ball too. I can run for an hour or play ball for an hour and the difference in calories is usually about 200 - 300 calories in favor of basketball.
