Cardi B having writing camps shouldn’t even be looked at scandalous. I personally know a couple artists that have gone to writing sessions for Pop stars. It’s pretty much an industry standard for Pop artists.

The majority of pop stars don’t claim to write their own material in the way that rappers do. It also doesn’t help that fans put those expectations on rappers compared to other genres.
