Because he is a rapper, he would look crazy trying to switch up like Michael Jackson, and he would be called sell out getting a white chick, so he just got a light skinned chick who looks like she may be mixed(depending on how you think). Jay has rhymed about light skinned chicks liking him once he got paid. Plus she was at the top of her game. Not saying he should have got a dark skinned chick, but Jay has the same qualities of chicks who have issues being black.

Men are judged differently than women. Women are judged more for their looks whereas men are judged for their ability to provide/finances. If a dude is considered unattractive (face is considered ugly, he's short, fat, etc) if his money is right then it evens out.
