That is a weird question and let me explain why?
2 things.
One...This guy Bruno Mars was getting play on those white stations when he was doing the pop shyt. He's a radio friendly guy. He was radio friendly before doing the throwback R&B sound stuff. So he's already going to get that push. He'd still be getting that same push if he was doing pop. Its to the point it doesn't matter what Bruno does he's going to get that push.
second.....Lets be honest here. And this is coming from someone who enjoyed Heartbreak On A Full Moon.... When was the last time Chris Brown just made an all around really great hit song? Be honest. Forget it being a throwback. Just a good hit song like he did with the song "With You." Its been a minute. The last song he did that was big was that bullshyt "Freaky Friday" which was getting more love on the white side then the Black side. So that destroys your argument because white folks were bigging up that song more then Blacks. So u had a song that white people loved by Chris...... and u forget. That white side always looked at him funny after that Rihanna situation. TMZ makes it their duty to constantly bring up that Rihanna situation all after the fact. So u mentioning Chris and him getting a commercials and endorsements sounds a bit off.
But I can tell u this...Let The Weeknd do a throwback song. You know damn well he's going to get that push. Let Drake do a new jack swing song. He's gonna have that song playing on the radio 24/7 and u know it. Replace Chris Brown from your question and add Drake or The Weeknd and the answer is Hell Yeah!
