Everytime I get the finances and heart to pull the trigger on a infiniti since the g35 and g37 and the Ms. Something always pull me back. I still want a g37S all white.

Wife has a QX70S (formerly FX50) with the 5.0. Infiniti used to be something but I don’t see them lasting much longer without going electric and having leading edge styling...

I had a G37x and loved every minute of owning it. It was quick and fun to drive at the limit. Unfortunately it got smoked by my friend’s Alfa Romeo Giulia and I had to upgrade to something faster. :mjlol:

What's your thoughts on the qx70s. How comfortable is it? How much backseat and luggage room? Thinking about selling my x5 diesel and getting a qx70s 3.7 as a daily driver. The only reason I want to keep it is because I spent crazy money deleting the dpf and other emissions stuff, so I'm averaging 24 city and 30 highway. But I really like those qx70s.

I love the FX/QX70. The FX basically started this whole “coupe suv” thing. Rear wheel drive biased AWD, excellent power for the size, fair comfort. Its definitely no Lexus comfort-wise. It has adjustable suspension but still rides kinda stiff with the 21” wheels. If you get a 3.7, you may get the smaller 20” or 18” wheels. It’s just me and the wife, so size-wise, it’s perfect for a couple or single people. Back seat space is about mid-size car equivalent, so think new Corolla/Civic. The RWD kills the space. Rear seats recline, tho. Cargo space is kinda lacking with the seats up, but I fit a 65” tv in the box with the second row down. We’ve had no problems with ours. The V8 is a gas guzzler and pretty hard to find now. Power at any time, but you can literally watch the fuel needle drop. 3.7 should be very reliable if you just change the oil every 5k and do basic preventative maintenance. You absolutely will not get anywhere near the fuel mileage of the X5, even with the 3.7, but the cost to operate should be much cheaper. Downsides is the old tech infotainment, and generally old looking interior. We’ll forever keep this one since it’s a rare V8, but she’s already wanting to go electric.

Preciate the feedback. Always been a fan of the looks of the qx. Looking to trade off mpg for reliability. Does it offer Bluetooth music streaming?

It does, but the sound quality isn’t that great in my opinion. I prefer plugging it into the console USB and using the iphone like an iPod. You still have full control via the steering wheel or the touch screen and it sounds much better. Full album art and controls. Phone charges while it’s plugged in, so it works better for us.

just Craigslisted my junk BMW so I understand you wanting reliability now...
